About Us

In 1980, employees of the broadcasting industry founded Broadcasters’ Child Development Center (BCDC) to meet the urgent need for quality infant care in Northwest Washington, DC.

Throughout its 40 years history, BCDC has strived to meet the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical needs of our children. Each classroom fosters the growth of the whole child in a developmentally appropriate and nurturing environment that encourages imagination and creativity. Click here to learn more about our curriculum.

We seek to build a loving foundation for each child that celebrates the diversity of the BCDC community through a curriculum that respects multi-cultural values. We pride ourselves in the diversity of our staff and the community we serve.

Today, the Center provides full-day care for children from infancy through preschool. BCDC offers the continuity of care that is vital for children under 5 1/2 years of age.
